Well here is the real man who beat the game show and won him self a $1 Million Dollar. His name is John Carpenter he was 31 years old when he played in the game show in 1999 and was booed by the audience when he told his job as an office in IRS. John Carpenter reached the finals without using any of his life line. In the final question he then use one life line that is "call a friend" he then called his father not to ask a help but he called his father because he knows the answer and he just wanted him to know that he is about to win a million dollars.

Strange Places: The eye of the Africa also known as The Earth’s bulls eye

The eye of the Africa is a prominent circular feature in the Sahara desert near Quadane. It has a 40 kilometer diameter. Others suspect it to be a meteor impact and other conspiracy theorist suspects that it was cause by an underground nuclear blast.  

Whatever the cause it is really a magnificent site, the Eye of the Africa is visible from space and from the photos taken by NASA it really looked like an eye.

Death Valley is a desert valley located in Eastern California; it is the lowest and driest area in North America, and currently the hottest in the world.

Death Valley is one of the flattest places on the face of this planet. Here you can see a geological phenomenon called Sailing stones, it is when rock move and scribble long tracks along smooth valley floor without the aid of human or animals.

Many scientists are baffled about this sailing stones, they observed and studied these phenomena and until this that there is no clear conclusion what causes the stone to move. Some suggest that high winds are responsible, some of the rocks move at almost perfect 90 degrees angle.

14 Year old boy’s simple idea that could save US government $400 million dollar

Suvir Mirchandani, a 14 year-old student claims that he have found a way of saving the US government some $400 million dollars simply by changing the font they use for official documents from Time New Roman to Garamond font, he said that it would use 24 percent less ink because compared to Time New Roman, Garamond font’s character is lighter and thinner.

He started his study as a science fair project at his school - Dorseyville Middle School. He was looking for a way to integrate computer science to promote environmental sustainability. His idea began when he worked out how much his school could save in ink after watching multiple leaflets be handed out. 

"Ink is two times more expensive than French perfume by volume,"

He then printed four different types of fonts on cardstock paper and graphed the ink usage. He discovered that Garamond, with its thinner strokes, his school district could reduce ink consumption by 24%, saving up to $21,000 annually.

He then extended the study to all of government levels and concluded that just using Garamond the US government can save $400 million us dollars annually.

STRANGE PLACES: THE DOOR TO HELL

The Darvasa gas crater also know as “The Door to Hell” is a natural gas field located in Ahal province Turkmenistan. Some 35 years ago soviet geologist taped into a cavern filled with natural gas. The ground beneath the drilling rig collapsed leaving a hole 70 meters in diameter. To avoid poisonous gas, they decided to set the gas on fire hoping to consume the  gas in a couple of days. The gas is still burning till this day.
